Scope of Nanotechnology

The 21st   century is an age of science. Everyone’s life is extremely dependent on the scientific inventions and modern technology. Scientific development along with the various technologies can be seen from the era of bullock carts to the modern day vehicles. The technology which has generated a great deal of excitement world-wide and is being cited as the key technology of the 21st century is NANO TECHNOLOGY.

Nanotechnology is an engineering of functional systems at the molecular level, covers a broad range of topics and is focused on controlling and exploiting the structure of matter on a large scale below 100 nanometres. It is the future of advanced development, today from clothes to food there are every sector in its range. We should promote it more for our future and for more developments in our current life. Nanotechnology has potential applications in many sectors including paints and coatings, textiles and clothing, cosmetics, food science, catalysis, etc. There are numerous of  job sectors in which one can employed such as environmental observing and control, food sciences, forensics, federal labs research, military and national security, energy capture and storage, electronic industries, material science technology, auto and aerospace industries, Biotechnology, medical fields and many more areas. Education in the field of nanotechnology is offered at postgraduate and doctorate level. Students can pursue M.Sc., M.Tech and Ph.D. in Nanotechnology.

Medi-Caps University, Indore offers M. Tech in Nanotechnology and Ph.D. in Physics with specialization Nanotechnology. We are highly committed to impart experimental and theoretical education on an extensive scale for the cognitive development of students and to make them self reliant as well as to work for societal benefits which shall eventually raise the living standard of masses. The Department of Physics is having well equipped ‘Research lab’ where one can synthesize and characterize the nano-materials. Recently, the department has applied for SERB project for “Core Research Grant” which in mere future would lay a great foundation for the orientation of students, scholars towards research.
